We Have a History

We have a history dating back to the 1960’s when Elvin Hurst of Kountry Kraft, Inc. installed kitchen cabinets in your home, along with thousands of homes in your neighborhood and surrounding developments. Elvin crafted, delivered and installed six to eight handcrafted cabinets in each kitchen per week. Crafting, delivering and installing the cabinets in your home were some of the first projects for the newly started company, which began in 1959 after Helen Hurst bought her husband, Elvin, a circular saw for Christmas.

What inspiration can become…

Since the 1960’s, Kountry Kraft, Inc. has evolved into one of the nation’s finest custom cabinet manufacturers. Together, we would like to continue making history by evolving your kitchen with new cabinetry; handcrafted with the same traditions and values of the 60’s with updated quality and functionality to make every square inch of your new kitchen stylish, organized and ready for entertaining. Below are examples of kitchens that have new cabinets. Kountry Kraft can design new cabinets to fit your current kitchen layout, or you can work with an award-winning designer to create a new kitchen layout. The possibilities are endless.

Before and After in Sinking Spring

The original Kountry Kraft cabinets still remained in this kitchen located in (neighborhood). Dee Hurst-Funk, Certified Kitchen Designer and CFO of Kountry Kraft, Inc., designed a new kitchen layout in addition to new cabinets. The wall between the kitchen and the dining room was removed and custom banquette seating was designed to take the place of the dining room table. A patio was added outside of the kitchen, so a new doorway was created for easy access.

Before and After in Wyomissing

This kitchen was redone in the 1980’s since Kountry Kraft’s first installation in the 60’s. The kitchen layout remained the same, but the cabinets, countertops, tile and flooring were replaced. This time, the clients wanted to update their kitchen to have a transitional appeal. Designer Jessica McAllister of Kountry Kraft, Inc. designed new gray painted cabinets to create their desired look. The kitchen layout remained the same, but the wall was removed above the end cabinet. By removing this half wall, the kitchen felt more open to the adjacent living space and created additional counter space. The soffit above the upper cabinets were removed so the new cabinets would reach the ceiling. The new cabinets feature more storage space and offer convenient organization than the previous cabinets.
