Initial Consultation
In the first meeting, we’ll meet at your home and talk about your goals and dreams for your new space. If you have inspirational materials, this is a good time to go through them and pinpoint what features you like. At this meeting, we will take measurements of your existing space if you decide to move forward with Petzrick Chinn Designs. There is no cost for the initial consultation.
Preliminary Design
Then, the team at Petzrick Chinn Designs, LLC Fairfax Virginia will create layout options based on our initial meeting. We will provide elevation or perspective sketches at this point to better explain certain floor plan options. We’ll also start talking about style and finish direction, as well as budget. CAD drawings will be created as more decisions are made. The goal of the preliminary design phase is an agreed upon floor plan layout and a style direction for the elevations.
Design Development
After you select a floor plan, we will create and tweak the remaining elevations until they’re just right. Then, we will work on selecting finishes, hardware, appliances, and more. After you make all of the selections, we will complete a final set of drawings. We can then order and install the final cabinets.
Ordering – Quotation
This is where we finalize the design, cabinets, and other products. Upon price approval, you will provide Petzrick Chinn Designs, LLC Fairfax Virginia with a 50% deposit. Then, the order detailing process begins. We then spend a significant amount of time ironing out the details of the order and producing shop drawings of specific custom cabinets. We will give recommendations to find the right installer or contractor for the project. Once the order is ready, the typical lead time for custom cabinetry is two months.
Installation
Finally, upon delivery, a member of PCD will be on-site to inspect cabinetry and periodically visit to go over any unusual details or unexpected hangups with the installer. Once installation is near completion, we will create a punch list with you to ensure that everything gets completed as intended.
